After-School & Residency Programs
A Path to Programming for NYC Schools
Kids Program Providers partners with underserved NYC schools to deliver voucher-funded extended day programming — at no cost to the school.
What We Do
After-School Programs
Our after-school programs build a culture of positivity and motivation through skill-based, engaging activities in the arts, sports, and wellness — with embedded social-emotional skills development.
Arts & Sports Residencies
For charter schools, suspension sites, and schools without after-school funding, KPP brings talented Teaching Artists and Coaches into the classroom to expand creative thinking and support positive behavior.
How It Works
School Partners with KPP
The school contracts KPP, applies for an Extended Day Permit, and provides dedicated office space.
Families Enroll
KPP and the school work together to recruit and enroll eligible families into the extended day program.
Vouchers Fund Programming
ACS and HRA vouchers collected through NYC's MyCity system fund the program — no DYCD funding required to start.
Our Programs
We meet our students where they are — engaging the community and cultures that create positive change.
Arts
Dance, theater, music production, poetry, photography, film, and more — rooted in social justice and creative expression.
Sports
Tennis, basketball, soccer, yoga, track & field, fitness programs, and more to build healthy habits and teamwork.
STEM
Hands-on STEM programming including hydroponic gardening and other project-based learning experiences.
Wellness
Social-emotional learning woven into every program — building self-efficacy, connectedness, and conflict resolution skills.
"Our mission is to create a transformative experience that empowers our students to become the best they can be — inspiring a love for the arts and sports, and building habits that improve lives through hope and diversity."
